Beginning in the early states of the scene modeling, one part I wanted to include
here, are the stairs leading into or out of the swimming pool.
Here, I still wanted to model a rather big scenery outside the courtyard,
with a sundown and blue sky in the background.
Further, in the same state of progress, we get a similar view as in the final picture. With point lights lighting up the courtyard and the blue sky with the sun in the background.
In a later state, I added the pool lights to the scene (which were too many for the final scene, but looking really pretty). Also the discoball was moved towards the entrance area and the camera angle turned 180 degrees to get an actually nice perspective.
The final scene - then - actually included a bit of the entrance hall, as the handrail, as well as the stairs could be seen over the reflection of the discoball. So the following picture shows a flick of this. For now, I did't model the rooms, couches, bookshelves or TV's for runtime purposes and as they cannot be seen in the final picture. But - one gets the idea of the view from the huge entrance area.
The final scene - the other way round. With a view towards the entrance area. - Not as pretty as the view into the far desert of south africa, but still nice to look at.
And finally - THE IMAGE. Also the logo of this homepage. Unfortunately, not as pretty as it should be.
With 100+ samples per pixel it would have looked truly lovely, but the runtime limitations allowed to
only have 30 samples per pixel. But I still love it and that is what counts, doesn't it?
