Idea & Motivation
This project is inspired by the bus stop shelters around Saarbrücken. Over the semester, I often returned home from the university after dark and admired how calm and atmospheric these stops felt — a single warm lamp against a cool night sky, quiet streets, and minimal movement. I photographed a local shelter to guide proportions and materials, then modeled an interpretation in Blender to capture that mood.
Artistic Intention
The image aims to evoke stillness and quiet isolation. The warm glow inside the shelter contrasts with the surrounding darkness, telling a subtle story of waiting — perhaps for the last bus that never comes. Composition is intentionally minimal so that lighting and materials carry the atmosphere.
