Light starts its journey from far (as the white halo on the top), transverses towards us.
In one moment, it can be seen as the three elements that are the building blocks of all our sufferings (as for rendering images).

Description

Our scene is filled with volume which enables atmospheric (like) scattering which creates foggy effect such as the white smooth halo emitting from the light source and the colored ray after the light is refracted through the three dielectric materials. If you look closely, you can see the dispersing red and green rays exiting the colored marbles.
The scene is shot with a thin lens camera which focuses on the marbles and creates blurring effect everywhere else. The floor is a rough dielectric material with a normal map to create a metal plate like surface. The area light is sampled with cone sampling to reduce noise. The final image is then denoised with IntelĀ® Open Image Denoise.
